Joint-Care is the centre that is totally dedicated to make people aware of their joint related problems, care of joints and provides proper treatment according to the stage of joint disease. It is one and only centre of its kind in Jaipur which deal in super-speciality field of orthopedics i.e. Joint replacement and arthroscopy only.
Joint-Care centre provides all the arthroscopic procedure in knee joint (Menisectomy, ACL/PCL Reconstruction, Chondroplasty etc.) & Shoulder joint (Labral & rotator-cuff repairs etc.). Arthroscopy: Key Hole Surgery of Joints
Knee Arthroscopy is usually performed in order to investigate and relieve: * Persistent knee pain not relieved by medication or physiotherapy * Swelling, clicking, catching, * instability or 'giving way' of a knee joint.
Arthroscopic surgery has following advantages over open surgery: * The incisions are very small * Patient can start exercises same day, so recovery is faster * Patient can regain full range of knee movement * Hospital stay is much less * No scar marks after surgery
Joint Replacement: Regain Painless Movement
Painful knees are a common problem in the middle-aged and elderly populations, and the most common cause of pain in this population is knee arthritis. When patient have complaints such as:-Swelling of the joint, Knee pain, Bow-legged or knock-kneed deformity, Loss of motion or Feeling of the knee 'giving-way' & X-rays (weight bearing) show bone spurs and loss of joint space in the knee joint, once should always get prepared for knee replacement.
There is no rule that limits the age of a patient who needs a knee replacement. Once knee replacement is indicated, one should get it done the earliest, since with time bones and muscle becomes weaker and deformity may reach to a level where
the surgery might not have the maximum outcome. Moreover long standing knee arthritis can damage other
joints such as hip, ankle, spine etc. also.
